Giovanni Calabrese graduated brilliantly in piano and graduated in chamber music under the guidance of Professor
Mariagrazia De Leo at the Conservatory "T. Schipa" in Lecce. Multiple awarded in numerous national and
international competitions. He perfected with Michele Marvulli, Cristiano Burato and Pierluigi Camicia.
Alongside the passion for recorded... teaching an intense activity of dissemination of music as organizer of events and
concerts and collaborators of prestigious associations. He is president of the Association of High Musical
Culture "W. A. Mozart" and artistic director of the International Artistic Centre of the Mediterranean, of the
International Artistic Festival Artistic Harmonies and of the International Competition "Musicarte". He was
artistic director of the Salento stages of the ICMC Festival (Positano, Paris and Shanghai). He has more than
one hundred concerts both as a soloist and in the formation of vocal and instrumental chamber music. He
has performed, among others, in Positano, at the Palazzo Ducale in Martina Franca (Ta), Villa Spada (Rome),
Teatro Antoniano in Lecce and in the Salone delle Muse at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, in the Salone
Vallisa in Bari, at the Rathaus in Stuttgart. In October 2019, he held a concert and seminar on the
organization of musical events at St. John’s University in New York and performed a double piano concerto
with Pierluigi Camicia at the Stuttgart Museum of Musical Instruments. He specializes in performances of
songs by Apulian authors and is appreciated for his interpretations of contemporary music.
Specialized in music teaching for children between 4 and 6 years. In addition to his musical studies, he
graduated with a degree in Economics and Commerce, was qualified to teach in secondary school and
specialized in teaching to students with disabilities. He teaches at high school.
