Rules and Regulations

The rules of performances, financial arrangements, ticketing, etc. may vary according to the conditions offered by each individual venue.

In case of a group concert, each performer will have at least 3 performances throughout the course of the concert.

For the finalists, living out-of-state, and out-of-country, the travel arrangements and housing in New York city will be the responsibility of the finalists. In case of special need, Gershwin Competition can provide partial assistance (ubject to discussion).

Special venue/occasion concerts will recommend a specific repertoire. Therefore preference of inclusion into those concerts will be given to the Finalists ready to perform the special repertoire pieces. For example, the concert at the Kosciuszko Foundation House in Manhattan will feature Polish composers (Chopin, Moszkowsky, Sharwenka, etc.).
